Relocated from the Merchant Road site in 2007, this embassy compound is the second largest US mission in South East Asia, after Manila, The Philippines. Situated on the shore of Inya Lake it is close to Aung San Suu Kyi's (Nobel Peace Prize Winner) residence. Nearby facilities include Yangon Arts and Science University and the University of Foreign Language.
