This little building is of very special interest, as it was the very first commercial contract for Sir Leslie Martin, later professor of architecture at Cambridge University. His parents were family friends of Helen Perry, who owned the Grange School. It was recently rebuilt exactly to Sir Leslie's design.

  • Well, I say 'exactly', but I was just slightly disappointed to see on a recent visit to Hartford that the 'climbing frame' screne at the front was in natural wood colour, whereas I clearly remember it being white! Just a small detail!
