Key sports facilities of the district:
— multifunctional complex «VTB Ice Palace», the first sports facility in Russia with three arenas under one roof;
— aquatic sports complex featuring the Anastasia Davydova Olympic Synchronized Swimming Center, with indoor and outdoor pools, fitness, and SPA centers;
— the first Hockey Museum in Russia.

The construction of major sports and entertainment venues and the hosting of national and international events involve the development of a well-thought-out infrastructure, which includes:
— a congress center with a capacity of up to 1,000 people;
— a 4-star hotel by an international hotel chain;
— a business center for sports and related organizations;
— an apartment complex;
— a multi-level parking lot with 3,500 spaces;
— a residential complex covering approximately 160,000 m²;
— an energy center ensuring uninterrupted operation of sports facilities;
— shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, stores, a medical center, banks, mobile service salons, and other amenities.

Previously, this site housed ZIL plant workshops, including: Assembly Shop No. 1, Assembly Shop No. 2, the main forging shop, Foundry No. 1, Tool Shop No. 1, Model Shop, the new body shop, and the First Gatehouse built in 1916.
