Military units: 530 IAP (MiG-31, 1991)[#1][#7], (36 MiG-25P, 1991)[#1]. /// Housed MiG-17s before the 1970s. The MiG-25Ps were phased out in the 1990s. Possibly a few MiG-25R recce aircraft remain, but this is speculative.

Base's objective was to counter SR-71 flights over Vladivostok. A MiG-25 from Chuguyevka, piloted by Viktor Belenko, defected to Hakodate, Japan on 6 September 1976. Small number of reveted pads.The Bulyga-Fadayevo name appeared on 1970s JNC charts.
