One of Greater Glasgow's earliest retail parks, long before the term "retail park" came into common parlance, although its original name of "Birkenshaw Industrial Estate" still lurks around the Yellow Pages, and on Google searches!!

Originallly designed as an industrial estate, but steadily the earliest pioneers of "big box retail" - like MFI, Comet and General George were its first tenants in the 1970s. There are still vestiges of its original use as an industrial estate lurking around the corners if you look hard enough. None of the original tenants are still here in their original form, sadly - owing to decades of mergers and takeovers.
