  In British Era, one prominant Queen happened to visit this place. Since then the village was identified as the one where the queen had come, thus the village got its name as Rani.The village has little population.The first graduate of this village is Md Yaseen.Following him, a number of graduates have spread in the nearing towns taking up different government or no government jobs.The village is getting access to Kishanganj with the Pradhan Mantri Gramin sadak Yojna.
