101 Arch Street is located in Boston's historic Downtown Crossing, neighboring the City's financial and re-emerging retail districts. The property contains over 400,000 square feet of Class-A office and retail space.

The building is the only building in the financial district that provides direct indoor access to the T subway system. The upper three floors of the old Kennedy Department Store facade were preserved and integrated into the design of this tower. In order to retain the exact location and orientation of the facade, it was suspended in mid-air by steel beams while the tower was built in behind it.
