In Ardèche, a departement of southern France, the Païolive wood is known for its small road where it is difficult to cross and for its stone animals, carved by erosion of limestone. The most famous sculpture is the one of "the bear and the lion", that you can see from the road crossing the wood in the direction of Les Vans.
