The castle is located in Tordibetto, part of the municipality of Assisi (PG).
The Castle of Beviglie, which originally had a square plan, has stretches of massive walls still intact, in practice the entire section of the south-east, and two cylindrical towers.
Located north of Assisi, dating from the late twelfth century and was further strengthened during the fifteenth century.
Today, although it has more of a fortified stronghold la'aspetto has the charm of a pleasant medieval village.
In the history of the Franciscan Beviglie is remembered as the birthplace of Brother Elias, a follower of St. Francis.
