The castle is located in Tordibetto , part of the municipality of Assisi (PG) .
Originally this was a simple castle tower he owned Betto Menneci and which was built for the storage of wheat. In the fourteenth century the tower was enlarged around, until it is transformed gradually into a real castle . In the next century , around 1450 , the structure was further modified in the form still exists today . Up to 1499 this castle depended on what Beviglie , another fraction of Assisi.
Currently they are still recognizable moat , drawbridge and ramparts . At each of the four corners of the castle there are massive towers that allow panoramic view of the valley below the village of Tordibetto .

The Castello di Betto di Menico , with still visible walls, moat and drawbridge ; quadrangular , is framed by four circular towers. Recently, in a private room - used as a mill until a few years ago - has been discovered in a fresco depicting St. Rocco Matteo da Gualdo , and other frescoes are slowly coming to light.
