The "Mushroom House" (Perinton town)

The home at 142 Park Road in Perinton which is commonly called the Mushroom House. Architect James H. Johnson actually patterned the house after a stem of Queen Anne's Lace. This home was built in 1970 for Robert and Marguerite Antell. They sold it in 1996. In 1999 it was purchased by Steven and Christine Whitman. The home's contemporary "pod" design earned it a designation as a Perinton landmark in 1989.
