palace, house, place with historical importance
This house was the seat of power for the Pakur Raj Estate. This house was rebuilt in the year 1855 after the Santhal Revolution. Still
standing tall the house has a lot of history. Palatial as is, the greatest part of the house was the facade (unfortunately lost to time).
The foyer of the palace has exactly 25 pillars denoting the hours. The palace is built on French architecture and the greatest beauty
is the breeze that sweeps through its long verandahs.
Not very well maintained, the house is still withstanding the ravages of time. Silence as we see it there.
