park, interesting place

Made by order of the Marquis Francesco Ranghiasci Brancaleoni between 1831 and 1849.
The green area was born with the intention of creating an English garden with large avenues on a sloping terrain near the walls of Gubbio. Old buildings were demolished and in their place he built other neo-classical or medieval ruins were rearranged to make possible a charming and picturesque walk through chestnut, linden, maple, oak and chestnut trees.
