Since 1970, the VersuchsStollen Hagerbach (VSH) shipyard, which together with various organizations and companies has become the largest private research gallery in Europe, has been managing a five-kilometer-long tunnel system that grows by approximately 100-130 meters per year, dealing with experimentation and control of materials, techniques and processes in relation to everything that has to do with the subsoil. It also has a restaurant, which is also useful in the various events that can be organized in the construction site, including the underground.
