The Levuka Village Methodist Church, the oldest church in Fiji was constructed in the 1860s.
It is significant as the representation, possibly the oldest surviving in Fiji, of the relationship between the indigenous people and Christian Missionaries, for its architecture and for its association with significant figures at the time of Cession.
