Veer Abdul Hameed Foundation has been operating in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, New Delhi
and Utter Pradesh since its inception in 2008-09 under SCA 1860/XXI. Since the beginning from
Patna, Bihar today we are operating almost in 100 districts of five states, mainly Odisha, Bihar and
Jharkhand as these districts are under-Developed and the rural & the urban people are very much in
need of financial and social development. We have developed a network of around 83 Partner NGOs
in the three states to execute the schemes and programmes undertaken by us. We have also
developed a network of around 56 volunteers, 44 staffs at different level & around 50 guest faculties,
these are the success pillars for The year passed.
In the year 2012-13 we have under taken schemes of Government of India which were not
doing well in the past such as SWAVALAMBAN scheme which was launched by our former
Union finance minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee as an extension of “The Unorganised Workers
social security Act 2008” under the aggregatorship of LIC-PNGS, PFRDA being the implementing
authority.
We realized Poverty being the root cause of all the social evils and the consequences being
illiteracy, Lack of Education, Lack of Employable skills, unhealthy living, unsocial activities for
livelihood, Malnutrition etc finally again leading to Further Poverty. It is a big challenge for the
Union and the State Government to eradicate the Poverty and we work to do this by creating
opportunities for the Self-Employment and Wage employment.
In the Year we have opened Training cum Incubation Centre in PPP mode with NSIC, National
Small Industries Corporation, Ministry of MSME, Government of India at Bhubaneshwar in
Odisha, Ranchi in Jharkhand and Bhagalpur in Bihar to impart EDP and SDP in different trades
that would lead to either self-employment or wage employment. We have also opened Five
Udyami Sahayata kendras in different districts of Jharkhand, Three districts of Odisha and Five
districts of Bihar where we provide help to the entrepreneurs such as complete information
and guidelines about different Government schemes of self employment, Preparation of
Project report and financial viability report, working knowledge of Projects, Machinery details
and their availability, EM-1 and EM-2 filling, benefit of other schemes of NSIC, MSME-DI etc.
We have conducted more than 300 district level and block level awareness camps in the states
of Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand, Two State level workshops to motivate the entrepreneurs and
to increase the sensitivity and awareness level in the bankers and Government officials, Social
workers, Partner and other NGOs etc.
In the coming year we have a plan of expanding our activities to many other schemes which are
prevalent to self-employment and poverty eradication, our association with many other
Government department, agencies and Donors.
We express our gratitude to all our donors, Government Department and Private support
agencies, Entrepreneurs, volunteers who trusted us and gave us the opportunity to serve the
community and ultimately the nation.
