Solok Railway Station (Inactive)

This Class II railway station located in Solok City, West Sumatra, is a silent witness to the golden era of coal transportation from Sawahlunto. Currently, the station is inactive and neglected. Within its premises, several historical assets are left abandoned, including rows of freight wagons and 2 units of the legendary BB204 series (specialized rack locomotives).

It is deeply regrettable that these assets are left exposed to the elements without proper sheltered protection. Through this entry, it is hoped that the relevant authorities (PT KAI/BTP) will take immediate action to rescue or relocate these locomotives and wagons to a more suitable facility for proper maintenance to prevent further deterioration from corrosion.

Stasiun Solok (Non-Aktif)
Stasiun kereta api kelas II yang terletak di Kota Solok, Sumatera Barat ini merupakan salah satu saksi bisu kejayaan transportasi batubara dari Sawahlunto. Saat ini, stasiun dalam kondisi non-aktif dan tidak terawat. Di area emplasemen, terdapat aset sejarah yang terbengkalai, termasuk deretan gerbong dan 2 unit Lokomotif legendaris seri BB204 (lokomotif khusus jalur bergigi/rack).

Sangat disayangkan kondisi aset-aset ini dibiarkan terpapar cuaca tanpa perlindungan (atap) yang memadai. Melalui catatan ini, diharapkan pihak berwenang (PT KAI/BTP) dapat segera melakukan tindakan penyelamatan atau pemindahan unit lokomotif dan gerbong ke tempat yang lebih layak untuk pemeliharaan (maintenance) guna mencegah kerusakan total akibat korosi.
