Guohua Cangdong Power Plant was invested by Hebei Province and Shenhua Group and founded in 12Dec,2001. The planned installed capacity is 6.4 million KW, including four 600,000 KW and four 1 million KW generationg sets with the total investment capital is 30 billion RMB. It adopts home-made coal-fired generating unit to generate power depending on the coal of Huanghua Port. It is the largest coal-fired power plant. The plant is built on the land made by reclamating, therefore, it does not occupy the existed land and is far from the urban area. The fresh water is obtained from desalinating technology which not only meets the needs for water of the power plant, but also can supply high-quality water to the port area and its surrounding areas. At present, the 3# units of the second phase have entered the trial phase.
