Bihar Museum (Patna)

Bihar Museum is located on the southern flank of Jawaharlal Nehru Marg or Bailey Road between LN Mishra Institute and Hartali Mor. It is spread over an area of 13.5 acres which earlier housed govrnment bungalows.

It is a project taken up to glorify the past of Bihar and giving dispaly to all the artifacts of current Patna Musem which is not being displayed to shortage of display space. It is a big project costing around Rs. 400 Crore. For desing selection state government conducted an international competition that brought in the best talent from around the world including the architects involved in rebuilding the World Trade Center. Selected design include four core exhibition galleries, educational, lobby, administrative and permanent gallery.

Consultant: Lord Cultural Resources(Canda)
Architectural Desing: Maki & Associates(Japan) Opolis Architects(Mumbai) will develop the architectural design of the proposed Bihar Museum.
