The location of barracks for French troops manning the Maginot line works in the Thionville Fortified Region. Built in 1933 as part of the Maginot line project, it was utilized by French, German, and American troops during the Second World War. The camp was destroyed in 1977 to allow for the construction of the Cattenom nuclear facility and all vestiges of the camp were razed in 2012.
