This fountain of HJ Pagels tells the story of the chicken thief who was in the dark of night to steal a chicken. In his haste, he caught a fowl and put it in his pocket. In his flight, he was shocked not bad as the supposed chicken crowed loudly and thus attract attention to him. The thief was pilloried, and the mockery of citizens gave to the thief the opportunity to think about the difference between a cock and hen.
