Leptis Minor Amphitheater

The ruined Roman amphitheater is by far the most visible remnant of the ancient town of Leptis (or Lepcis) Minor (or Parva), the precursor of modern Monastir to the northwest. Most of the old town's other remains have been obliterated by agricultural activity.
