Menlo Park Mall of the town of Thomas Edison renoun, once known a Menlo Park, NJ until it was adopted by the township of Edison, NJ, was the first indoor strip mall in the world, Circa 1964. It is a two-story shopping mall with anchors Macy's & Nordstrom. Some of the many restaurants and shops are.: Rain Forest Cafe, Cheesecake Factory, A 12 screen AMC Theatre, A brand-new renovated Abercrombie & Fitch, Chico's, Steve & Barry's, Club Monaco, GUESS?, Zara, Old Navy, Anne Taylor.

Original anchors were Bamburgers of Newark who later sold out to Macy's and Orbachs (now defunct).
