Eurymedon Bridge

Turkey / Antalya / Serik /
place with historical importance, tourist attraction, stone bridge, arch bridge

A kinked Seljuqs Ottoman bridge built on older Greek bridge foundations. This bridge is somewhat unique in that it is bent and changes direction as it crosses the river.
The bridge is 225 meters long and 4,5 till 5,7 meters wide and was built by an Anatolian emperor at the beginning of the 13th century. The builder master used old roman remains for this.
The bridge got restored in 1996-98...and they did this so good that the thing looks new.
