The idea of opening the contemporary urban space, the new 3rd place and the cultural destination in outskirt of Yaroslavl on the territory of the former garage of Textile Factory "Krasny perekop" was realized by group of yaroslavl' urban innovators, culturologists and architects "Lift Porject". In 2012 "Textile" - the concept of the cultural space - was presented as the event area during Architecture of Movemenet Annual Festival.
"TEXTILE" is the first natural example of adaptive reuse of the industrial buildings in regions of Russia. It's aimed to bring value to interpersonal communications and education level of people. "Textile" is focused on providing new opportunities for independent and small businesses and it also going to play a significant role in a life of the local community. The humanitarian mission is the revitalization of the whole area of Krasny perekop and the work with perceptions and stereotypes connected with this district in Yaroslavl.
