road, wilderness area, river mouth

This stream is also a very famous road - after driving 60+ miles up '90 mile beach' (not as long as its name suggests) there is no roadway exit - but this streambed is solid enough to take full sized tourist buses - despite its wild appearance. Access for cars and motorbikes is also possible and reasonably safe, but the roadway is not widely publicised. TMBJ.
Now decades ago I took my then girlfriend (now wife) as pillion passenger for an 'interesting ride up the beach and up this stream on a motorcycle that needed run starting on a hard surface - no hope of that in a stream. We stopped mid stream for photos. "Keep it revvfing" were her instructions. She did :-). .
