The Fitzroy Tavern.Built in 1883 as a Coffee House, then The Hundred Marks Pub in 1887, then named the present Fitzroy Tavern,in 1919. During the 1920's to 1940's, it was a Bohemian focal point for artists and intellectuals. This was a regular haunt for notable folks such as Dylan Thomas, George Orwell, Malcolm Lowry and many other poets, artists, broadcasters and politicians.
