Antiguo Colegio San José de la Salle

Congregation of the Brothers of the Christian Schools is a
Catholic institution dedicated to the human and Christian
children and youth currently carries out its mission in more than 86 countries
world.

The official name of the community is: Congregation of the Brothers of
the Christian Schools. In Spanish speaking countries it is customary
De La Salle Brothers said.

In Colombia, the Congregation of Brothers of the Christian Schools
is divided into 2 districts: the District of Bogotá and the Lasallian
our own, "District Lasallian Medellin."

Lasallian District of Medellin was born on January 16, 1928 as
result of a restructuring of the District of Colombia.
Currently the District Lasallian Medellin is led by
Brother Joseph Bianor Galician Botero, Visitor, and has about
880 employees distributed in different works.

Works belonging to the Lasallian District Lasallian Medellín
impact on their educational work with several departments of Colombia,
such as Valle del Cauca, Cauca, Antioquia, Córdoba, Chocó and
Atlantic.

8 currently leading private schools, two diocesan, a Normal
Senior official, two schools and a formal concession, the
University Corporation Lasallian Foundation Autónoma De La Salle
House of Meetings, three houses of formation, 8 communities Brothers
and some properties that are used in agricultural production
