Launched January 21, 1960. Held the title of largest ship on the Great Lakes until the launch of the SS Frankcliffe Hall in December 1962.
This ship was also the last steamship built for the Great Lakes, the last to be built without the ability to unload itself, and was the last ship constructed at the Manitowoc, WI shipyards.
She was moved September 6, 2013 from her spot in Fraser Shipyards to the Tower Slip on the other side of the Blatnik Bridge, so they could work on their repairing their docks.
