A massive 5-story, irregularly massed stucco-and-shingle building with enclosed parking on the first and second levels and residential units on the upper stories. The history of the parcel on which this stands is typical of the area: small-scale 19th-century buildings near the street line replaced in the mid-20th century by a franchise gasoline-and-service station at the center of the former house lots. This large-scale residential development, like so many others in the area, ignores the scale and texture of the neighborhood to capture even the smallest glimpse of the waterfront and to maximize the value of the waterfront location.
