community, farm land / agricultural area
Ho'opili is a proposed master-planned community developed by D.R. Horton - Schuler Division. If built, Ho'opili is planned to include about 11,750 homes. Ho'opili is planned over prime farm/agricultural lands on the 'Ewa Plains. Developer D.R. Horton - Schuler Division says that there will be a mix of agricultural & urban use and some farm land will still remain. However, many people fear a water strain by Ho'opili and want to keep O'ahu's farmlands on the 'Ewa Plains still here.
