Wadi Ar Rayan Monastery

The devellopping monastry is based on eremite cells that were cut into the limestone of the valley in ancient times. In the 1990s, monasterial life restarted with one monk from Cairo, who began to live in this remote valley in one of the ancient cells and recontructed the old infrastructure.
