Hyomyeong High school, a private school founded by Suwon Catholic Diocese, is located in Jangdang-dong, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do.


Since Father Dominic, Soocheol Yoo had established in 1953, Hyomyeong Technical Highschool got approved on February 26th in 1957 and turned out the first graduates of 33 people on February 10th, 1960.


In December of 1962, Commercial department was set up and the school changed its name to Hyomyeong Vocational Highschool. In 1969 the ordinary high school course got established and school changed the name into Hyomyeong Comprehensive Highschool. Subsequently we changed the name to Hyomyeong High School in March, 2004.


To reform our school to a prestige school, we run students' dormitory and provides various programs for growth of teachers' specialty as well as students' personality and academic achievement. In terms of achievement, we have produced many elites entering Seoul National University(SNU), POSTECH, KAIST, Yonsei University, Korea University, Sogang University, Sungkyunkwan University, Hanyang University, Korea Military Academy, Suwon Catholic University, and more of major 40 universities in Korea.


We have a number of school events such as Sports Day and Art Festival in May, School trip and club activities in June. Also, we are rearing gifted student tennis players as well as Samulnori club, Vocal club, School Band, School Broadcasting club, Catholic Student Union, and etc.
