This is the wave that has gained much fame and popularity and can get pretty crowded, so use your judgement and don't surf this wave if you aren't experienced. You can also guess that this is a locals wave, so once again use your judgement.
Ruggles lies on the cliff walk and is accompanied by Newport's famous mansions. Tourists love to walk along here and are amazed when they see surfers on big days in cold water. (Ruggles is actually two or three distinct breaks along this well-manicured point in Newport, Rhode Island.)
