These two 16th-century houses are part of a series of plastered houses that were built against the walls of the unfinished "Nieuw Werck. The irregular facade line of the houses follow the progress of the choir wall of the Cathedral of Our Lady.
The wooden storefront dates from 1900.
In 1976, the two houses were protected as architectural heritage.
