Salt Springs is primarily a residential neighborhood, made up of one and two-family homes, built in the 1920s and 30s. It has become a "feeder" neighborhood for first-time homebuyers because of its affordable homes and abundance of children. It is a very diverse neighborhood in terms of ethnicity, socio-economics, and homeowners/renters.
