5-story embassy building originally completed in 1869 as a townhouse. In 1904 a 2-story projecting storefront was added. The entire 3-bay facade was later resurfaced in beige stucco. The ground floor has an entrance at the west bay, with a wood-and-glass door and sidelight. To the left is a wide window with wood mullions, divided into 5-over-3 panes. Both of these openings are framed in white stone and there is a high stone water table around them. The 2nd floor has three large single-windows in dark-grey metal frames, each with a small, blue awning (there is a wider blue awning across the ground-floor window).

The upper floors, set back behind a stone coping and metal railing, have three bays of single-windows with simple sills. The facade is topped by another stone coping and metal railing. The building is now occupied by Gabon House, the Permanent Mission of the Gabonese Republic to the U.N.
