The USA completed its new embassy compound in October 2010, and officially dedicated it on Feb. 7, 2011.

The Kabulonga Road site incorporates architectural features that showcase elements of Zambia and integrates green building techniques. The multi-building complex provides more than 350 embassy employees, both US and Zambian, with over 13,000 sq. meters of secure work space.

The $126 million project generated jobs in the US and Zambia including more than 1,200 during the peak construction phase.
