The Sant Bani Ashram in Ribolla was founded in 1979, and it is the biggest Sant Mat or Surat Shabd Yoga center in Europe, under the supervision of Master Sirio, who is one of the nowadays living masters of this yoga tradition and also the founder of this ashram.
The wonderful surronding, the atmospehere and its high spiritual charge make the place ideal for retreats for all those who really wish to improve/renew their life quality on all levels of the human being: body, mind and spirit.
The ashram is "in the nature", up on a nice hillside. The nearest neighbour is 1,5 km far from the gate. It is a peacful place with a wonderful charged up atmosphere. Still it is central as within 15-30 minutes driving one can reach the sea or the nearby mountains, there is also a natural lake and a natural termal bath very near. The famous cities of Toscana are also not far, like Siena or Firenze. Rome is app. 2 hours from here by car or by train from Grosseto.
The land of the Ashram is 17 hectars with 4 main builidings on it(inculding separated man and woman dormitory with several independent bathrooms), with meditation hall: indoor and ourdoor as well. There is also an artificial lake and an own solar panel system, such as own piped water system, electricity, internet connection etc. So, though the Ashram is located in the nature, it is very modernly equipped for the comfort of all visitors. (See the description below to learn about the development of the public place since its foundation.) The place is owned and directed by the nonprofit Sant Bani Association, in a fully nonprofit way.
The spiritual practice and teachings conveyed by Master Sirio are for free, as according to his philosophy "spirituality is a free gift of nature, such as life, air or water". The attendants of the programs get accomodation and full (vegetarian) supplement, so there is a calculated minimum price to cover these personal costs, that is app 20 euro/person/day.

Beside the spiritual programs Ayurvedic therapies are also available here. The Ayurvedic activity done here is separated from spiritual work, prices of the Ayurvedic therapies and treatments are always calculated on demand, depending on the need, number of people arriving together, the services etc.
