Hotel Polsky Dom (Ostrava)

Czech Republic / Moravskoslezsky / Ostrava

Constructed in 1900, the Art Nouveau building served as a social center for Poles who came to Ostrava to work. After use as a furniture storehouse, the building was completely renovated in 1992 and converted into the Polish House Hotel. In 2007, the hotel went bankrupt and the property remained vacant until 2011 when it was acquired by a new owner who intends to refurbish the hotel and reopen it by 2014.
