Atlit Naval Base

 Israel Defense Forces (IDF), naval base
Base located south of Haifa and includes the remains an ancient Crusader fortress, Château Pèlerin which is where the Israeli Navy's elite special forces unit, Flotilla 13 is based. Those who join the 'flottila' stay at the base starting from basic training and throughout their training. Because of the clandestine nature of the operations of "Flotilla 13", the base is not open to visitors.
