The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (abbreviation: PLP; English: University of the City of Pasig) is a local university run by the Pasig City local government in the Philippines. Conceived by former Mayor Vicente C. Eusebio, PLP is envisioned to be a local university that is committed to excellence in college education. With the approval and subsequent implementation of the Local Government Code (R.A.7160), Mayor Eusebio steered the Pasig City Council for the approval of Sangguniang Panglunsod Ordinance No. 11, series of 1999 – the charter that established the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig signed on March 15, 1999.

On March 9, 2000, the Commission on Higher Education granted authority to PLP to offer tertiary courses within its mandate. PLP officially opened on June 14, 2000 with six (6) initial degree courses, namely: Bachelor in Secondary Education, Bachelor in Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management; and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. New courses were eventually added such as Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2001 and 2002, respectively.

  • I am one of PLP's pioneer.. CCS and CoMSOC days were the best! Those UNDESERVING students whom (i dont know how they do it (perhaps ask their mothers to ask their mother's kumare to back them up during pre-enrollment) but) happened to enter the school premisses that made the school look "dump". Sorry for the word. But to all Pasig City's Scholar.. we deserve the best and we could make our University proud!Animo PLP!
  • The best Campus.........! prof. SIbomet the best...!
  • One of the best School in town,i spent my 1st 2 years in college here sadly i have to leave still its one of the best school ive been through..
  • There's no such thing as a perfect school or college. This university is still finding its way to be with the top universities in our country. I chose this university when I failed UPCAT, and I didn't regret that choice. The university will not get its dignity and prestige from its name, but from the people who make up the university, and the most influential part of it will be the students. There's a beauty in everything and PLP is just finding its way to bloom as one of the greatest and well respected universities in the Philippines. So PLnPians, be proud to where you came from. Don't look down at our school like a "dump" or anything worse, instead, prove them wrong about their impressions to our school. I can't wait for that time when PLP or UPC tops the race of the best colleges and universities. It's up to us, folks... God bless us all!
