Ecological Station of UQAM (University of Quebec in Montreal) Lake Lusignan. ZEC- Collin / Saint-Guillaume-Nord, Quebec / Saint-Michel-des-Saints. Students of the bachelor in biology and geography realize a field camp at the ecological station of UQAM (Lake Lusignan). In the field, using tools in Geography (satellite image, GPS, aerial photography, map, compass, etc.), it is carried to question a problem or object of study from different perspectives geography (human, physical and geographic information). Since 1973, the Department of Biological Sciences offers courses in the field to students of BSc in Biology and ecology certificate. Since the summer of 1983, these courses are given to the ecological station of the Huardière in St-Michel-des-Saints. The resort is built on the territory of the ZEC-Colin lakeside Lusignan and includes a set of work rooms and living quarters. The ZEC (Controlled Exploitation Zone) is a great site for ecological study in the field of sugar maple-yellow birch as the animal side, that plant or aquatic.
