Outside the Prebend Gardens there are two plaques on the east side entrance on the Prebend Street side.

The dark greyish plaque states,

“These gardens were designed by the Leicester City Council in co-operation with local residents and the City Wildlife Project for the pleasure of people living and working in the neighbourhood and as a haven for wildlife.

The gardens were opened by The Lord Mayor of Leicester on 15th August 1987.”

Underneath the dark greyish plaque there is a brass plated plaque on it states,

“These gardens were restored in 2005 by Leicester City Council in partnership with the friends of Prebend Gardens.”
