The Old Jewish Cemetery in Kazimierz Dolny, established around the 16th century on Lubelska Street, was devastated by the Nazis during World War II, with parts of it leveled to build military structures and a school. Today, a school sports field occupies part of the former site, but a memorial wall was created from hundreds of recovered tombstone fragments, and a forested hillside area with some original matzevot (tombstones) still exists cja.huji.ac.il/browser.php?mode=set&id=49724
