In one of the biggest drive to conserve heritage structures in Madhya Pradesh, state archaeological directorate has taken up 30 structures in Chanderi under its fold. A tehsil in Ashok Nagar district, Chanderi lies on the edge of Malwa Plateau and Bundelkhand region.There are about 15 Archaeology Survey of India (ASI) protected monuments in Chanderi.
