Built in 1950 the jetty is just over 900m long and includes a converyer with the capability of moving 2000t per hour. This has been used to load Wheat, Barley, Dolomite, Salt and other commodities onto bulk vessels. The depth of the water limits the size of the vessels to Panamax class.
