  • The peninsula is historically called "Portuguese". This is due to the purported arrival of a Portuguese galleon that scouted the area and made their camp on the rocky hill. They were eventually driven by the natives. this story does not make sense since the Spaniards are in control of the area. No matter, the current natives of sual call this place Portuguese. Not Tres Amigas. Another thing, the place is not private but still municipal property.
