A luxury 5-star boutique hotel complex, carved out of a terrace of elegant Victorian townhouses. Originally it really did just consist of No. 1 Devonshire Gardens, but over the years its owners gradually bought the remaining four flats. Once locally owned, it became part of the Hotel du Vin chain.

Frequently lauded as Glasgow's finest hotel, and one of only three 5-star establishments in the city (the others being the main Glasgow Hilton and Blythswood Square - both in Anderston), it has hosted countless A-list celebrities, from rock bands to Hollywood superstars. Hideously expensive, the top suites are aimed at those that don't need to ask the price!

  • This is my favorite hotel on any continent and I prefer to stay in Devonshire 5. I've had the pleasure of meeting various notables here. It's a wonderful hotel, although I hope they have taken the time to make it handicap accessible by now. All those steps are difficult for a guy with only one real foot.
