  Why this power plant is located here? I do'nt see any cooling water source except a small canal connecting the thermal power plant. Is the water flow enough for cooling the condenser of a 250 MWelec. gross power generation? This is the conclusion of one power plant experts easily just by looking in the Wikipedia satellite map, such as ash pond and water reservoir. How many acres of land is misutilised? This power plant could be easily located along a railway and river like other thermal power station in this country. Mine-mouth power stations are economical only from very low grade coal fuel like lignite with high moisture or steam coal with very high ash content. The cost and energy required for transportation of a good quality coal by railway is much less and economical than pumping water from underground and destroying through cooling tower and hydraulic ash transportation. What is the water source during the long dry season ? Why the flyash dike concept has been applied, which is destroying the valuable flyash instead of using in the country's cement industry? This is misutilisation of valuable ground water for flyash slurry transportation. A large amount of heating power from the very good quality steam coal is destroyed due to improper planning and lack of knowledge and experience of this power plant maker. This is an example of improper planning by engineers, without having required knowledge. This is simply misutilisation of the poor knowledge of balancing between ecology and economy with the help of an stupid government and greedy politicians by the so-called credit suppliers helping the developing countries. This is nothing but a legal way of international sucking the resources from poor nations. Who can help now atleast to save the resouces and environment of this country? The know-how and proper technology is available from nations having hundred of year of experience in coal fired power generation world-wide.
